Windjammer Festival Auctions
Dine aboard a Maine windjammer during Camden Windjammer Festival!
Meet the captain, crew and sailing guests as you dine with them Friday evening, Sept. 1, aboard one of the vessels of Maine Windjammer Association. The winning Dinner-for-Two bidders will each receive a complimentary bottle of wine from Cellardoor Winery. Dinners are available to bid on in-person all day Friday at the Festival.
- Visit the Maine Windjammer Association’s tent on the Camden Public Landing, where the live bidding starts Friday, Sept 1, at 9 a.m. Bidding ends at 4 p.m.
- Vessel boarding for winning bidders is at 5:15 p.m.
- The MWA will also be selling raffle tickets on-site to win windjammer memorabilia.
- If you can't make it down to the MWA tent on the landing on Friday, you can bid by phone Friday between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Call the Maine Windjammer Association at 207-558-8761. Bids will not be accepted via voicemail. MWA staff will answer calls as we are able. The surest way to make your bid is to visit us at the public landing on Friday!
- If you prefer to skip the bidding, you can make a donation and secure a winning dinner reservation with a bid of $200 to "Buy Now" on Friday, either in person or on the phone.
- Proceeds help support the Camden Windjammer Festival and the fireworks show.

Dinner Aboard Schooner Lewis R. French
Appetizers: Enjoy a mug of Schenkerla, a smoked German Bock beer, from Baramburg, Germany while sampling locally procured delicatessen. Sharp and creamy 10-year aged Vermont cheddar, wildflower encrusted cave aged cheese from the Alps of Austria. Thick cut mustard seed salami and imported Schinken - Germany’s cold-smoked Black Forest ham.
When the ship’s bell strikes for dinner, join captain Becky, crew and guests for a rousing meal of real Down East fare. Prepared fresh for you, in our wood fired Home Clarion woodstove.
Entree:
- Roasted Rack of Lamb
- Maine-grown Yellow Eye Baked Beans - baking in the oven since 4 in the morning, the authentic downtime way
- Cool Crunchy Bread and Butter Cabbage Slaw
- Steamed Brown Bread made with Buckwheat Flour milled in St. John’s Valley, Maine
- Beverages include a nonalcoholic Raspberry Shrub and Unsweetened Iced Tea
Dessert: Before the evening festivities begin, treat yourself to the unofficial desert of windjamming, the real Maine Crazy Pudding, topped with hand churned Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

Dinner Aboard Schooner J. & E. Riggin
Appetizers: Enjoy a selection of Local Oysters aboard the J & E Riggin, which was built in the 19020s for dredging oysters in the Delaware Bay! Oysters served with Lemon, two house Mignonettes and a house Cocktail Sauce (GF). Locally grown Radishes or Baguette served with a variety of hand-whipped Butters and Salts from around the world.

- Prime Rib from our local butcher with Fiore Balsamic Glaze
- Mashed Maine Potatoes
